Abstract

The ($d$, $^{6}\mathrm{Li}$) reaction on $^{32}\mathrm{S}$ and $^{34}\mathrm{S}$ has been measured at a bombarding energy of 80 MeV. Angular distributions for the low lying states were obtained in an angular range of 9\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} to 45\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} laboratory. Alpha spectroscopic factors were extracted employing finite-range distorted-wave Born approximation calculations. The results are discussed in comparison to recent shell-model predictions.NUCLEAR REACTIONS $^{32}\mathrm{S}(d, ^{6}\mathrm{Li})^{28}\mathrm{Si}$, $^{34}\mathrm{S}(d, ^{6}\mathrm{Li})^{30}\mathrm{Si}$; ${E}_{d}=80$ MeV; measured $\ensuremath{\sigma}({E}_{^{6}\mathrm{Li}}, \ensuremath{\theta})$; ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}$S-gas targets, enriched isotopes; finite-range DWBA calculations; deduced alpha spectroscopic factors for low lying levels.
