Abstract

Very few Damped Lyman-Alpha absorbers (DLA) at z < 1.1 have been analyzed up to now (de la Varga et al. 1999 and references therein; Pettini, this volume) and enlarging the sample is essential in order to understand the nature of DLA and cosmic chemical evolution. We have studied the DLA at z = 0.68 towards HE 1122–1649 and at z = 1.15, towards HE 0515–4414 . Spectra were gained with HIRES/Keck I, CASPEC/ESO 3.6 and FOS/HST.
