Abstract

Dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) is a useful method for the synthesis of enantioenriched materials. The Zhou group has utilized DKR for the synthesis of α-aminocycloalkanols via a ruthenium-catalyzed hydrogenation reaction. A very wide variety of cyclic α-aminoketones were successful in this reaction. Hydrogen was used at a pressure of 10 atm.
