Abstract

T HE NEW ZEALAND Legislature has always shown a considerable interest in the problems surrounding the law of divorce and matrimonial causes. Since the turn of the century hardly a decade has gone by without legislative activity in this field, usually of some significance,' and in view of the recent important recommendations of the English Royal Commission of Marriage and Divorce2 further activity can possibly be anticipated.3
