Abstract

Diversity of soil Nematodes in agriculture field of Madhepura was studied. The Nematodes belonging to the group Bacteriovores, Mycovores, Omnivores, Predators and Plant parasites were identified. Frequency, absolute frequency and relative frequency of Nematodes were calculated. Altogether 17 genera of Nematodes were identified. Maximum frequency was observed for Bacteriovore Rhabditis (14) followed by Cuticularia (12) and minimum frequency was observed for parasitic Nematode Trichodorus (3) and Predator Clarkus (3). Absolute frequency in Bacteriovores varied in between 30% to 70%, in Mycovores 25% to 45%, in Predators 15% to 25%, in Omnivores 20% to 25% and in Parasitic Nematodes 15% to 20%. Relative abundance of Bacteriovores was observed 58.40%, Mycovores as 16.81%, Predators 6.19%, Omnivores 7.96% and Parasitic Nematodes as 10.61%. From Bacteriovores 7 genera, from Mycovores 3 genera, from Omnivores 2 genera, from Predators 2 genera and from Parasitic Nematodes 3 genera were detected. . KEYWORDS :Nematodes, Bacteriovores, Mycovores, Omnivores, Predators and Parasite.
