Abstract
MRSA strains A total of 205 nonrepeat MRSA isolates were obtained from patients in 13 Public hospitals in Kuwait between 1 January and 31 December 2010. Isolates were obtained from skin and soft tissues (N=78), Nose (N=56), Respiratory tract (N=27), Groin (N=11), Blood (N=10), Axilla (N=6), Vaginal swab (N=5) and miscellaneous samples (N=12). Isolation and identification of isolates were based on standard bacteriological protocols, Gram stain, positive catalase, Dnase and tube coagulase tests.
