Abstract

The taxonomic diversity, distribution patterns, and host-parasite relationships of fleas of the genus Oropsylla, which are vectors of the plague pathogen in the Eurasian and North American plague foci, are analyzed. Data on the abundance, ecological features, and epizootological significance of the marmot parasite Oropsylla silantiewi (Wagner, 1898) in different Palaearctic plague foci are summarized.
