Diversity and conservation status of plants in the in situ forest of Tanjung Puri Tabalong Botanic Gardens, South Kalimantan.Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 4: 304-309.Tanjung Puri Tabalong Botanic Garden is one of the botanical gardens in Indonesia specifically conserving ex situ Kalimantan lowland plants. In situ Forest of Tanjung Puri Tabalong Botanic Garden is a special zone presenting the remaining Kalimantanlowland forest. This study aimed to determine the diversity and conservation status of plant and its management in the in situ forest of Tanjung Puri Tabalong Botanic Garden. The data was collected using transect method with subplot sample with the size 2x 2 meter (seedlings and lower vegetation), 5 x 5 meters (sapling), and 10 x 10 meters (trees), with the number of plots respectively as many as 17 subplots. Analysis of species dominance used Importance Value Index. Diversity of species used Species Diversity Index (Shannon-Wiener Index), Species Richness Index (Margalef's Index), and Species Evenness Index. The inventory results indicate that at the level of seedlings and understorey, it hasfound 48 species of 30 families with the dominant species ofSyzygiumtawahense (Korth.) Merr. & L.M.Perry, in the saplinglevel it has found 32 species of 15 families with the dominant species of Vitex pinnata L., and in the tree level it has found 12 species of 9 families with the dominant species of Lasianthus sp. SpeciesDiversity Index (Shannon-Wiener Index) is included in the low to high categories, Species Richness Index (Margalef's Index) is included in the medium to high categories, and the Species Evenness Indexis included in the high category. Based on the IUCN Red List (2017), There are 7 species of endangered plants with lower risk extinction status. Management of endangered plant species is performed by making it as a spontaneous collection plants of Tanjung Puri Tabalong Botanic Garden.
