Abstract

Community service needs to be based on a sense of sincerity since it has become an obligation for students to serve the community by helping and providing services to the community. As is known that one of the functions of Tri Dharma needs to be achieved by every university in Indonesia. Students from Diponegoro University were moved to conduct a service activity on the topic "Diversification of Kolang-Kaling Processed Products in Jatirejo Village, Gunungpati District, Semarang". Diversification of the use of kolang-kaling aims to maximize the potential of Jatirejo Village as a tourist village known for the production of kolang-kaling. The service activities were held from June 2021 to August 2021, for 45 days of active implementation. The location of service is in Jatirejo Village and Kandri Village located in Gunungpati District, Semarang City. The service is carried out both online and offline. The implementation of service is divided into 2 stages, namely the Preparatory Stage and the Implementation Stage. The main result of this service activity is the diversification of kolang-kaling-based products such as KOLAKA, GELALING, BOBALING, Kolang-Kaling Soap, and Briquettes from Kolang-Kaling Skin Waste. Based on the results of the implementation of activities, the partners welcomed the idea of diversifying kolang-kaling products outside of food products. This is expected to be adopted by the people of Jatirejo to maximize the potential of the village as a producer of kolang-kaling as well as a producer of various products based on kolang-kaling, so that economic activities in Jatirejo's small-medium enterprises (SMEs) are expected to increase, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic has passed.
