Abstract

A probabilistic and uncertain database is a real database containing uncertain data which is probabilistic. The available probabilistic and uncertain database management prototypes and systems such as Trio have limited query functionalities. Trio does not support important query functionalities such as intersect all query and working of multiple aggregate functions in the select clause. This article demonstrates the modifications in query handling process in Trio database system. The modifications allow the user to use intersect all clause and implement multiple aggregate functions in the select clause. The modified system also allow the user to represent graphically the extracted data using histogram which in turn used to compare the different range of values present in the relation. Moreover, with these modifications the user can now fire diverse queries over Trio as per his/her requirements. Thus the additional query functionalities implemented in this work has made the Trio database more user friendly.
