Abstract
The [Rg(CN)6]4− paramagnetic species is unambiguously identified by electron spin resonance spectroscopy. This species is produced when KCl single crystals doped with small amounts of K3Rh(CN)6 are submitted to 2 MeV electron irradiation at 77 K. The existence of an asymmetrical localized phonon mode is postulated in order to explain the temperature dependence of the measured spin Hamiltonian parameters.
