Abstract

Electrolytic side effect of antihypertensive drugs were studied in 631 elderly patients. 4% of 337 patients without these drugs had a natremia lower than 130 mmol/l (HN) and 12% a kaliemia lower than 3.5 mmol/l (HK). With thiazides, HN and HK were more frequent (12% and 20% respectively), especially in women.
