Abstract

1. 1. Male killifish in sexual regression were maintained in salt water at 19–20°C on a 12 hr day-length and were trained for 3 wk by feeding after handling, to accustom them to the stress of capture. 2. 2. Blood samples were taken at 4 hr intervals, beginning at dawn, with 10 fish in each group. 3. 3. The hematocrit rose to a maximum 8hr after the onset of light, as did serum Na; serum K and serum Cl showed no significant variations.
