Abstract

In this paper, a method of rejecting disturbances in controlled systems is developed. Friction compensation for electromechanical processes, based on the friction estimation using an observer, is more specially studied. This procedure yields to a simultaneous state and input estimation through a fixed-size sliding observation window. The method is then tested and its performance is verified on a real electromechanical process, i.e. a DC motor.
