Abstract

This paper discusses the disturbance decoupling problem, i. e. the feedback synthesis problem concerned with decoupling the system output from the effect of disturbances acting at the input, for 2-D linear shift-invariant systems. Exploration of this problem leads an extension of the well-known fundamental geometric concept of (A, B)-invariant subspace. With such an extension, some new sufficient/necessary conditions for the solvability as well as the corresponding algorithm to the problem under discussion are obtained, which, have improved the existing results.
