Abstract
The authors evaluated heart involvement in a series of 17 cases of muscular dystrophy (MD). In all cases specific ECG anomalies were present, while the echocardiography detected cardiomyopathy only in the older ones. The Authors recommend a close cardiologic follow up in all MD cases. ACE inhibitors should be started from the age of ten.
