Abstract
Collections from a series of aquatic surveys and other recently curated specimens in the Museum of the High Plains at Fort Hays State University included noteworthy records of the distributions of fishes in Kansas. Range extensions (RE) expand the known range of a species, and in this account, range confirmations (RC) redocument the presence of threatened, endangered, or rarely collected taxa. Voucher specimens are housed in the Fort Hays State University Museum of the High Plains (MHP) and the University of Kansas Museum of Natural History (KU). The proposed 1987 revision of the list of species considered to be endangered, threatened, or in need of conservation in Kansas was used to denote those species in this account.
