Abstract

Summary The use of X-ray computerized tomography (CT) for the measurement of residual saturations and porosity distributions in heterogeneous carbonate cores is illustrated. Semivariograms of porosity are calculated and used to determine correlatiort lengths on the laboratory scale. The relationship between residual saturation and porosity is presented for two different cores.
