Abstract

To clarify the superiority of newly developed electrocatalyst layer (ECL) for PEFCs, the microstructure of the new ECL was analyzed by using mercury porosimetry and TEM observations. It was clearly observed by 2D and 3D-TEM that Nafion ionomer was distributed more uniformly inside Pt/CB agglomerates, compared with those simply mixed with ball-mil in a conventional manner.
