Abstract
Human chromosome microdeletions in Yq11 are considered to be significant genetic alterations that lead to male infertility. The specific AZF (Azoospermic Factor) region responsible for infertility problems contains DAZ (Deleted in Azoospermia) family genes whose palindromic structure make them very vulnerable for different types of internal rearrangements at different levels of gene expression.
