Abstract

Iron is unevenly distributed in titanium alloys with 0.15–1.5% Fe. It is localized preferentially in metastable β phase of variable composition. With increasing aluminum concentrations (from 3 to 5%) the coefficient of uneven distribution of iron approximately doubles.
