Abstract

RATIONALE: IL-13Ra2, a high affinity receptor for IL-13 that does not signal through Stat6, exists in cytoplasmic, transmembrane, and soluble forms. The distribution of IL-13Ra2 in these compartments likely influences IL-13 signaling. We investigated the effects of the overall level of expression of IL-13Ra2 and allergen treatment on IL-13Ra2 distribution in soluble, surface, and cytoplasmic forms. We determined their overall contributions on IL-13 signaling.
