Abstract

Heavy metals, found in extremely minute particles, can create environmental contamination in various media, including soil, water, and air. The study sites were chosen in coastal regions of southern China, other industrial zones in Sidoarjo, East Java, Indonesia, and areas near significant industrial activity. This study aims to review and compare the sources and spatial distribution of heavy metals, as well as the potential health risks for the two regions of South China and Sidoarjo, Indonesia. The methodology utilized for this study is a literature review. There are parallels across the research location articles in terms of industrial soil properties.
