Abstract

The distribution of Clovis projectile points in Arizona is updated from the works of Agenbroad (1967) and Huckell (1982) and includes results from the excavation of the Murray Springs Clovis Site. A hypothetical scenario is presented that interprets the distribution as being the result of an initial band of Clovis people entering the state from the Lime Ridge Clovis Site in Utah, exploring the eastern part of Arizona before moving into New Mexico.
