Abstract

Distribution network reactive power optimization is the basis work to ensure the safety and stability operation of power system. Flexible controllable resources such as controllable load, distributed generation(DG), energy storage system(ESS) will impact the operation of reactive power optimization significantly in the new type power system. A reactive/voltage control method considering multi flexible controllable resources is proposed in this paper. A price driven demand response load flexible control strategy based on the market real-time electricity price, load response cost and user purchase cost is proposed for the load control in the reactive power optimal strategy. ESS is combined with the reactive power compensation equipment to achieve the optimal control between voltage and reactive power flow in distribution network. The simulation result in the improved IEEE 33 system shows that the proposed optimization model comprehensively considers the dynamic characteristics of flexible resources, and it can and improve the reactive power/voltage regulation ability and reduce the active power loss significantly.
