Abstract

Objective To investigate the regularity of methyl-CpG-binding protein 2 (MeCP2) ex-pression in cell model of Parkinson' s disease. Methods Detected the expression of MeCP2 and tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) in cell model of Parkinson' s disease by immunofluorescence and Western blotting.Resuits We found the MeCP2/TH protein expression in SH-SY5Y cell by immunofluorescence and Western blotting, and also the MeCP2 protein and TH protein expression reduced in the cell model of Parkinson's disease. The expression of MeCP2 protein and TH protein reduced were further confirmed by Western blotting analysis, the ratio of MeCP2/β-actin from (86.97 ± 4.62)% decreased to (22.19 ± 2.85)%,and the ratio of TH/β-actin from (49.92 ± 2.35) % decreased to (9.02 ± 0.84) %.Conclusion MeCP2 plays an important role in the pathogenesis of Parkinson' s disease,MeCP2 may be involved in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease. Key words: Parkinson's disease ; Methyl-CpG-binding protein 2 ; Tyrosine hydroxylase ; SH-SY5Y cells ; 6-hydroxydopamine
