Abstract

Summary Results are presented of tests for the blood groups, subgroups, M-N types, and Rh types in a series of 156 Asiatic Indians (Moslems); 20 individuals were also tested for agglutinogen P. The distributions obtained were compared with the distributions of these blood properties in other races. The data were analyzed by the gene-frequency method in order to test the genetic theories of the blood groups, subgroups, M-N types and Rh types. The calculations were in good agreement with the expectations, except in the case of the Rh types. The probable causes for the discrepancies in the latter case were discussed.
