Abstract

This paper proposes a distributed finite-time event-triggered secondary control for islanded DC microgrids (MGs). The proposed controller can provide accurate current sharing and critical bus voltage regulation in finite time without the need for periodic communications. The finite-time feature improves the convergence speed and transient response of the secondary control while the event-triggered behavior reduces the burden on the communication network. The proposed secondary control scheme is validated in MATLAB/Simulink and HIL testbed utilizing OPAL-RT and Raspberry Pis.
