Abstract
Though simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT) has been developed for long-range wireless networks, e.g., cellular system, significant degradation of wireless channel gains is a challenge of SWIPT for leveraging energy efficiency. To deal with this issue, we propose a distributed antenna system (DAS) combined with SWIPT with orthogonal multiple access (OMA). We also present the optimal power allocation and splitting scheme for SWIPT to maximize the energy efficiency with consideration of the DAS. Numerical results verify it advantages in terms of energy efficiency compared to SWIPT-OMA without the DAS.
