Pharmacists not only provide immunizations to adults, but also have expanded immunization services to adolescents and children. An increasing number of states allow pharmacists’ involvement in improving access to childhood immunizations. Despite the growth of pharmacists providing this service, resources geared toward pharmacists immunizing children have been scarce. A study in Oregon showed that after a law passed allowing pharmacists to immunize adolescents, immunization rates rose by almost 40%. 1 Robinson S.G.
