Abstract
The distortion, due to the strong absorption, of the quasi-elastic peak for hadronic reactions on nuclei is systematically analyzed, within the Glauber theory framework, for a broad range of momentum transfers. We observe a momentum dependent shift of the peak position, solely dye to the reaction mechanism, that dominates over the dynamical shift caused by the residual interaction in the random phase approximation.
