Abstract
This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the effect of nonlinearities in ultra-wideband orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing receivers. The statistical properties of a quadrature phase-shift keying baseband signal are utilized to derive closed-form expressions for the power spectral density of cross-modulation, intermodulation, and harmonic distortion products of modulated signals, arising from second- and third-order nonlinearities in the receiver. Both narrowband and wideband jammers are considered. The derived expressions are then used to predict the effect of these nonidealities on the link budget of the system
