Abstract

The exact finite-range, distorted-wave Born approximation was used to compute $^{4}\mathrm{He}(p,d)^{3}\mathrm{He}$ cross sections at ${E}_{p}=770$ MeV. The transition form factor was tied to measured electron-$^{4}\mathrm{He}$ scattering and the calculated cross sections were insensitive to uncertainties in the distorting potentials. The calculated angular distributions do not reproduce the data.NUCLEAR REACTIONS Computed DWBA cross sections for $^{4}\mathrm{He}(p,d)^{3}\mathrm{He}$, ${E}_{p}=770$ MeV.
