Abstract

The results of an experimental study of the transonic flow behind the trailing corner edges of oversized cone-cylinder bodies of different dimensions are presented. Emphasis is placed on the induced transonic flow restructuring and the local aerodynamic forces accompanying the process, both steady and unsteady. The restructuring that occurs with increase in the freestream Mach number is studied.
