Abstract

Higuchi's method of plotting photometric-titration data was applied to the distimulus photometric titration by determining end points of indicators. Sodium dihydrogen phosphate in the presence of its conjugated base, boric acid and ammonium chloride were titrated with sodium hydroxide in aqueous media using thymol blue as an indicator. N, N-dimethylacetamide and urea were titrated with perchloric acid in glacial acetic acid using nile blue A as an indicator. Titrations were carried out in the concentration range of 26 × 10-4 equivalent per 50 ml with a coefficient of variation of about 2%.
