Abstract

Anterior shoulder instability is a relatively common condition particularly in the athletic population. It can lead to alterations in shoulder mechanics that can cause significant restrictions for patients. This condition becomes particularly difficult to treat in the revision setting. A handful of widely accepted procedures to address anterior shoulder instability have been described. Distal tibial allograft for anterior shoulder instability in the setting of large glenoid loss and revision cases has been shown to be on par with other graft types. In this chapter we will discuss a technique of distal tibia allograft use for anterior shoulder instability cases.
