Abstract

Objective: Frozen elephant trunk (FET) can be used for continuous downstream aorta treatment in acute aortic dissection. At stentgraft level complete false lumen (FL) thrombosis followed by FL obliteration is regularly found. Distal the stentgraft FL thrombosis is found infrequent and incomplete. Continuous or partial FL perfusion seems to be associated with vessels originating from the FL. This study correlates the volume of the perfused false lumen (PFL) with the number of vessels origination from either the true lumen (TL) or FL.
