M. ; McGowan, J. W. Abstract Electron-ion dissociative recombination cross sections have been measured for C2+, C2H+, C2H2+, and C2H3+ over the energy interval from 0.02 to 1 eV using the merged beam technique. Assuming a Maxwellian distribution of the electron velocities, the derived rate coefficient at 100 K for C2+, C2H+, and C2H2+ is found to be 1.0 × 10-6 cm-3 s-1 and for C2H3+, 1.6 × 10-6 cm-3 s-1.
