Abstract
We measured direct and dissociative ionization functions for ethanol, methanol and butanol molecules, and determined relative cross sections. The experiment was carried out by means of a crossed electron and molecular beam method at the setup equipped with a monopole mass spectrometer. The ions were detected by a secondary electron multiplier. The mass spectra for butanol molecule as well as the energy dependence of the ionization cross section for the initial molecules and the dissociative ionization cross sections for the fragment ions from 5 eV to 60 eV are presented.
