Abstract

Diatomic photodissociation theory is generalized to describe the differential cross sections for atomic fragments with non-vanishing electronic angular momentum The importaint non-adiabatic spin-orbit and Corious interactions produce quantum interference effects in the cross sections We determine state-to-state, degeneracy averaged, and fine structure averaged differential and integral cross sections.
