Abstract

A theory of relaxation in the longitudinal magnetic ringing of the $A$ phase of superfluid liquid $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ is presented. An attempt is made to compare the theory with some recent experimental data. Some features of the data are in semiquantitative accord with the theory, but there are unresolved discrepancies about which some comments are made.
