Abstract

Abstract Field trials were conducted to study the magnitude of quinalphos residues in and/or on cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. Capitata). Cabbage crop was sprayed once with quinalphos 25 e.c. at 0.25 and 0.5 kg a.i./ha 80 days after transplanting. The samples of cabbage heads drawn at different time intervals were analysed colorimetrically. The two year mean initial deposits of quinalphos in and/or on cabbage heads were 4.52 ppm and 7.59 ppm at 0.25 and 0.5 kg ai/ha, respectively. The waiting periods were 11 days at the higher dose and 8 days at the lower dose of quinalphos.
