Abstract

A comparison of static and dynamic methods of preparing gas mixtures is presented and requirements that working standards based on dynamic generators must satisfy are formulated. The basic sources of errors in the reproduction of mole fraction and mass concentration of components in gas mixtures are analyzed by a dynamic method and results from a study of methods of increasing the stability and precision of dynamic generators are presented. A new complex of first-grade working standards is described. Data of an experimental study of the metrological characteristics of dynamic generators based on the results gained from their use in international key comparisons are presented.
