Abstract

Seeds of the eastern dwarf mistletoe (Arceuthobiumpusillum Peck) were found on gray jays (Perisoreuscanadensis) and a red squirrel (Tamiasciurushudsonicus) trapped in a black spruce (Piceamariana (Mill.) B.S.P.) infection center in the Fond du Lac State Forest, Carlton County, Minnesota, U.S.A. In some instances, seeds of A. pusillum were carried as far as 100 m by gray jays.
