Abstract

A 61-year-old man with a 10-day history of diffuse abdominal pain with abdominal distension was referred to our department. The patient had a medical history of diabetes mellitus and hypertension. There was no history of change in bowel habits, vomiting, or weight loss. On further questioning, the patient reported that the problem started 12 years back when he started to experience incremental abdominal distension with intermittent abdominal pain. Physical examination revealed apyrexia, normal heart rate, and normal blood pressure.
