Abstract
[POR NAO SER EXISTINDO]: Displacements Towards Empathy consists of an interactive artwork that employs cognitive computing [1-3] and ubiquitous computing [4-6] concepts and techniques to revisit 'Narcissus' in a co-authored physical-digital space (interactor / artwork / artist) from contemporary references: social networks and public database platforms. However, in contrast to the unique enchantment by itself brought by the myth, and the excessive worship of the itself image, often observed in these networks, in [POR NAO SER EXISTINDO] the visitor's body displacements through the exhibition space lead him to access the five levels of navigation of the artwork, as well as to the perception of his image and of himself as something fully reached only in otherness and empathy. That is, something that is fully elaborated only in the continuous apprehension of the presence and emotions of the other.
