Abstract

It is an effective new way to investigate different amounts of S316L fiber orientation and cooling tubes of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) bipolar plates mold injection simulation by Moldex 3D. The mold flow simulation is investigated by finite element method.In this study, the complex flow melting behaviour under the assistance of mold flow analysis is conducted by examining the coupling effects of the process conditions and the material properties numerically. Therefore, the present study aims to simulate these characteristics of filling, packing, cooling and warpage distributions for mold injection with fiber orientation. In order to get better filling with fiber orientation of different trenches, like U and V types of fuel cell bipolar plates in mold injection, the channel shape of the fuel cell bipolar plate mold should be designed. The simulation result shows that higher amount of fiber orientation inside the channel of fuel cell bipolar plates will get better quality and filling pattern.
