Abstract

We studied the photo-induced XANES kinetics for the chalcogenide glass As2S3 using dispersive x-ray absorption spectroscopy. After numerically compensating for synchrotron instability, kinetic studies reveal subtle changes in XANES oscillations that suggest an anisotropy of of local structural units, in agreement with previous optical studies.
