Abstract

The dispersity of an emulsion of treated mineral oil used as a coal-flotation reagent is studied by laser diffraction. A finely disperse oil emulsion in water is produced by selecting optimal duration and intensity of dispersion. Ozonization is used to improve the reagent’s flotational activity. The influence of ozonization on the size distribution of the oil droplets in emulsification is assessed.
