Abstract
In Alice Winocour's psychologically aware film Disorder, Vincent (Matthias Schoenaerts), a French soldier, returns from Afghanistan but all is not well. He awaits a decision regarding his future and undergoes a series of evaluations. Physically he's unharmed, but he's preoccupied, short-tempered, and sometimes hears noises others cannot. Vincent denies any need for help, but buys sedatives secretly from a friend.
